Summer School on company start-up in the area of life sciences – 2017 edition

Reminder : On July 6 and 7, the Institut Pasteur, in partnership with the Medicen Paris Region competitiveness cluster, will be running the second edition of its Summer School focusing on company start-up in the area of life sciences.

The aim of this event is to give participants the fundamental knowledge they need to set up a company in the field of life sciences (biotech, medtech, e-health, etc.). The Summer School will particularly cover the early stages in launching a start-up, the search for initial and follow-on funding and the vital role of teams in the company start-up process. A micro-coaching session will offer participants individual guidance from a wide range of experts (entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives of business incubators and competitiveness clusters).

This Summer School is aimed at all students, PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, scientists and engineers who are either considering setting up a business in the area of life sciences in the short or long term or are simply interested in finding out more about entrepreneurship.

The event, divided into four themed half-days, will be attended by a diverse range of top professionals - entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capitalists, legal experts, sales representatives and business incubator directors - representing all aspects of company start-up in life sciences.

PhD students and post-doctoral fellows can be given an attendance certificate on request.
