Come along to the upcoming Pasteurians and Alumni Café on May 31 and find out more about the Institut Pasteur International Network

Reminder: The Pasteurians and Alumni Cafés, launched last June, have already proved hugely popular with current Institut Pasteur staff and members of the alumni community. These events, which feature special guest speakers, provide a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where staff and alumni can enjoy a drink and a chat, share their experiences and discuss a given topic.

The next Pasteurians and Alumni Café will be held on Thursday May 31, 2018. The organizers are giving current staff and alumni the opportunity to share their thoughts on the topic "The International Network, a unique network for public health and research worldwide".

This is a great opportunity to find out more about the work of the institutes in the International Network and also to discuss and ask questions about the human stories behind the science, the work that goes on in the field in application of high-level research, potential career opportunities, etc.

This latest event will give participants a glimpse of the experiences and perspectives of several guest speakers: Mirdad Kazanji (Director of the Institut Pasteur in French Guiana), Marc Jouan (Vice-President International Affairs), Arnaud Fontanet (Head of the Epidemiology of Emerging Diseases Unit and Director of Teaching at the Pasteur-CNAM School of Public Health) and the scientist Laure Guenin-Mace (from the Immunobiology of Infection Unit), who will talk about her scientific placement at the Institut Pasteur in Rome.

Make sure you save the date! The event will be held at 6.30pm on Thursday May 31, 2018, at Café Thermidor, 229 rue de Vaugirard, at the junction between rue des Volontaires and rue de Vaugirard (near the Volontaires metro station).
