Sustainable development open days

logo_campus_vert_5.jpg To mark European Sustainable Development Week (May 30 to June 5, 2016), the Quality, Environment and Sustainable Development Department is organizing two open days to present the measures adopted by the Institut Pasteur in this area and discuss the issue of sustainable development.

Come and meet the Institut Pasteur's new partners (including VertDeco, in charge of green spaces on campus, Burban for pallet recycling and Recylum for electrical and electronic equipment waste) and speak to our regular partners (such as Geb for food waste from the staff restaurant and Cycléades for recyclable materials).

As part of the two-day operation to collect recyclable materials, you can bring in all your used light bulbs. The first 250 participants will be given a reusable cotton bag courtesy of our partner, Recylum.

hangouts_green_campus_vert.jpg.png SQEDD invites you to take a few minutes to complete a questionnaire in order to improve the management of waste and recycling on campus, including information dissemination and sorting methods.

These open days are also an opportunity for you:

  • to dispose easily of any small electrical and electronic equipment (vortex mixers, scales, calculators, etc.) - decontaminated if necessary - which no longer work;

  • to help the Quality, Environment and Sustainable Development Department assess recycling needs for pipette tip boxes used in labs. To do so, simply bring along the equivalent of one day's usage at lunchtime on both days (but no more!).

Please feel free to ask us any questions or to share any ideas or eco-tips by sending an email to: campus-vert@pasteur.fr

The open days will be held on Tuesday May 31 and Thursday June 2, from 11.30am to 2.30pm, just outside the staff restaurant. A detailed program will be available next week.

A detailed program is available on Webcampus.
