Continuing education available remotely – browse our list of training courses

In the current circumstances, we need to adapt and reorganize our approach to ensure that we can continue our activities as far as possible. The HR training center is pleased to offer a number of remote training courses. Several remote sessions have already been held, for example in office skills, vector design with Inkscape and language learning.

Priority is given to Institut Pasteur employees in the allocation of spaces, depending on the order in which applications arrive, but OREX staff may also be accepted.

Here are the training courses currently available. The list will be extended regularly:
 

• Introduction to GraphPad-PRISM software via Teams. If there are no more spaces you can register on a waiting list

If there is high demand for the course, a second session may be held at a later date
Dates: June 8-9, 2020, with the organization RITME
 

• Training in statistics, open to continuing education students

The Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub offers a number of courses in "assisted mode," combining individual work, guidance through online discussions, and video conference sessions. This course format requires you to work independently but can be fitted around your schedule.

The first training course is on descriptive statistics and R programming. Further information is available here.
Dates of the video conference sessions: June 9-11, 2020 (9am to 12 noon)

Further courses will be confirmed at a later date, on the internal training page, between mid-June and mid-July 2020: hypothesis testing, linear models and multivariate analysis.
 

• "Write & publish a scientific article" via Teams

After the first online session held in April, we are now offering a second.
Dates: June 29-July 3 with the organization Sciences Impact (9am to 1pm)
 

• An introduction to using the survey and questionnaire tool LimeSurvey is also currently available.

This introductory course is held online and alternates between online sessions via Teams and individual work.
Advanced training is also available for the production of quizzes.
Dates: June 22-23 and 25-26, 2020 (9am to 12.30pm) with the organization 2i2l

Finally, we will also be holding project management and remote management training courses. These sessions will take place via video conference. For more information, please contact formation@pasteur.fr.

Future training courses planned on an instructor-led basis:
o   Introduction to molecular phylogenetics (December 14-18, 2020) at the ENS
o  Business development and applications for biomedical innovation, leading to a university diploma (11 days from January to March 2021) with Sorbonne Université
