Reminder: Upcoming "Start-up breakfast" session on November 19

The next "Start-up breakfast" will be held at 8.30am on Tuesday, November 19, in the Duclaux room, on the second floor of the Duclaux building.

Our guest is Dr. Françoise Soussaline.

Françoise Soussaline has her Ph.D in the field of Molecular Spectroscopy. After being a researcher at Inserm she moved to the CEA where she worked with the Nobel prize winner Georges Charpak on the development of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) a very important step in the armamentarium of cancer imaging. In 1985, she created Imstar S.A, Spin-Off of CEA, a high-tech company dedicated to the automated digital analysis of histology-cytology imaging, based on the innovative Pathfinder cell imaging platform. Imstar represents the future for the lab of Pathology.  She is a successively CEO and CSO of Imstar. The company is quite successful and collaborates with Institutions in many countries throughout the world. Half of the company is installed in Asia.
Françoise Soussaline has also largely contributed to the Medicen health cluster. She had been a vice-president of Medicen for 6 years  and continues very actively to represent SMEs in the cluster. She received the prize Irène-Joliot-Curie which rewards women in science and technology.
