  • Focus on: Research grants from the Lefoulon-Delalande Foundation

The Lefoulon-Delalande Foundation research grants, first set up in 2001, are designed to promote research by a post-doctoral fellow working full time on cardiovascular research at a French institution (research placements abroad are not eligible).

The research topic can include cardiovascular development, physiology, diseases, epidemiology and medical or surgical therapeutics. Research on oncology and metabolic diseases (such as diabetes and obesity) is not included.

The applicant should hold a PhD or equivalent diploma in medicine, science, pharmacology or veterinary science.

Fourteen year-long grants, each worth €50,000 and covering all charges (pension and social security contributions), will be awarded in 2018. Each applicant must be supported by a host laboratory, which will receive the grant and will be responsible for concluding a fixed-term contract with the beneficiary and distributing the funds.

Applications should be sent by email in a single attachment (in PDF format) to the following address: fondations@institut-de-france.fr. A hardcopy should also be sent to the Bureau des Fondations, Institut de France, 23 quai de Conti, 75006 Paris, France.

The submission deadline is January 29, 2018 (date as per postmark).
