• In-person training: Data repositories: sharing and improving the visibility of your research data, Tuesday December 13, 2022, 2 to 4.30pm and Tuesday December 20, 2022, 2 to 3.30pm* (in French)
Do you want to publish the raw data related to a research paper? Is the funding body for your project asking you to share your data based on the principle "as open as possible, as closed as necessary"? Do you want to make your data available to the scientific community to improve the reproducibility of your research?
Data repositories are the most efficient solution to meet your needs: depending on the repository you choose, you can make your data openly accessible or subject to controlled access. And there's nothing better than a training course to help you find your way around the many repositories out there!
Combining theory and practice, the training course takes place over two sessions. Between the sessions you will have the opportunity to analyze and test a repository and to ask the trainer any questions via Teams.
The training is aimed at any scientists who produce data and want to share their data via repositories.
This course will help you:
• understand how data repositories work and what they are for;
• find a repository that meets your needs;
• learn how to use the general-purpose repository Zenodo (suitable for all types of data);
• draw up a comparative list of different repositories.
Before you sign up:
• Make sure you will be able to take part in both sessions.
• The maximum number of participants is 6; spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
