The Technology Transfer and Industrial Partnership Department (DARRI) with the Human Resources Department propose a course entitled “From Discovery to Tech transfer and Start-up” with two sessions – the first in 2022 and the second in 2023.
The course consists of 4 modules covering development from early academic discovery to actual useful products: the protection of inventions, know-how and software and the relationship between patent publications and scientific publications; collaborations and different agreements including licenses, MTAs and CDAs that are discussed and concluded with industrial partners, the skills to negotiate with industry; and keys for success in launching a start-up and fundraising.
This course is open to all scientists on campus to receive training and acquire the necessary knowledge of these important aspects for their career. Take time off the bench and explore new frontiers and skills for your career!
