Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
On November 15, during the week of celebrations for the Institut Pasteur's 130th anniversary, the 2018 edition of the Scientific Symposium was held on the Institut Pasteur campus, led by Vice-President Pascale Cossart. This event included the prizegiving ceremony for the Sanofi-Institut Pasteur Awards.
For this seventh edition, three laureates were chosen by an international panel of eminent researchers. Two awards were given: the International Mid-Career Award and the International Senior Award, recognizing scientific excellence in research on "immunology" and "microbiology and infection".
The winners, Maria Manuel Dias Da Mota (João Lobo Antunes Molecular Medicine Institute, Lisbon) and the duo Claude-Agnès Reynaud/Jean-Claude Weill (Institut Necker-Enfants Malades, Paris), were given the opportunity to deliver a lecture at this prestigious event. Maria Manuel Dias Da Mota, winner of the International Mid-Career Award, was recognized for her remarkable contribution to malaria research, while the duo of Parisian scientists, laureates of the International Senior Award, are among the leading international experts on adaptive immunology.
