Upcoming "PubMed – My NCBI: useful tips and tricks" and "Impact factor and Journal Citation Reports" training

The teams in the Institut Pasteur's Scientific Information Resources Center (CeRIS) are running two new training sessions:

 

• Training: PubMed - My NCBI: useful tips and tricks

Learn how to use PubMed more efficiently with handy techniques including advanced searches, limiting searches, automatic emailing of search updates and citation export.

This training session, a mix of theory and hands-on exercises, will help you get to grips with all these PubMed features and boost your research skills. The session will take place on Tuesday November 7, 2017, from 3.30pm to 6pm.

This training session in English is open to all. It will take place in the training room (15.02.10) on the second floor of the CIS building.

• Training : Impact factor and Journal Citation Reports (JCR)

The Scientific Information Resources Center (CeRIS) is running a training session on Impact factor and Journal Citation Reports (JCR) on Thursday November 16 from 5 to 7pm.

Have you ever got stuck trying to find the impact factor of a journal or compare it with other journals from the same discipline? This training session will help you find your way around the Web of Science module JCR (Journal Citation Reports) and get to grips with the different indicators used in this tool. Don't stress - just sign up!

This training session (in English) is open to everyone. It will take place in the training room on the second floor of the CIS building.
