Agenda

Take part in the events for European Disability Employment Week from November 18 to 22

Throughout the week starting November 18, various activities will be organized to raise awareness among the Institut Pasteur community of the importance of improving inclusion for people with disabilities, to encourage dialog and to present the progress made on the action plan adopted last year.

Reaffirming our commitment

One year ago, on November 16, 2023, the Institut Pasteur unveiled its disability action plan, marking an important stage in its inclusion strategy and demonstrating its commitment in this area. Since then, the Disability Office has continued to promote this crucial policy, working in close collaboration with the Department for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

The latest edition of European Disability Employment Week (EDEW) is an opportunity to organize a series of events for Institut Pasteur staff, review the progress made and help tackle prejudice towards visible and invisible disabilities.

The Institut Pasteur's Disability Office, in collaboration with several other teams, is pleased to invite you to several events:

Monday November 18, 8.30-10.30am, come along to the module 1 in the social building for a fun fact-finding breakfast put on by the Disability Office to kick off European Disability Employment Week.

Wednesday November 20, the Disability Office will be at the Hearing Institute from 8.30 to 10.30am to share coffee, pastries and information – a great opportunity to chat in person and ask any questions.

During the lunch break, come to the screening of the documentary A bras-le-corps, chosen in collaboration with the CeRIS, in the Agnes Ullmann lecture hall. The film will be followed by a time for discussion and reflection about disability and inclusion with representatives from the Disability Office.

Thursday November 21, attend the information forum in the atrium of the François Jacob building from 11.30am to 2.30pm. The Disability Office and its partners in the HR Department, the Occupational Health Department, the Information Systems Department and the CeRIS are looking forward to greeting you at their stands, where you can ask questions and find out about the initiatives introduced at the Institut Pasteur and elsewhere to improve inclusion for people with disabilities.

The full program for the week is available on ePasteur

Please note: a competition on the topic of disability and inclusion will take place alongside the events. The prize draw will take place on the Thursday after the forum. Several prizes are on offer, including books and theater tickets. Enter the competition and try your luck!

These events are being held in connection with European Disability Employment Week (EDEW), which provides an opportunity to raise awareness about disability and the importance of inclusion and equal opportunities in the workplace. It is also a good time to review the various mechanisms introduced to facilitate disability inclusion at work, to discuss and share views and to learn and raise awareness about employment for disabled people. For the Institut Pasteur, this week is also the anniversary of the launch of our disability policy, a key milestone in our commitment to improving inclusion on campus.
