Running in support of Pasteurdon: a look back at La Parisienne 2024 and the PasteuRun initiative

•    2024 edition of "La Parisienne": Pounding the pavements of Paris in aid of Pasteurdon

The latest edition of the "La Parisienne" race took place on October 20, and 50 of the Institut Pasteur's female scientists took to the starting line to run in aid of Pasteurdon. With a choice between 7km and 10km by running, or 7 km by walking, each participant could choose the distance that suited them best as they took part in this fun and friendly sporting challenge. On a sweltering day in Paris, the runners gathered at the foot of the Eiffel Tower for the start!

Building on past performances, and as determined as ever to do their very best over their chosen distance, the Institut Pasteur team came out on top:
•    23rd place in the "companies" 7km challenge
•    12th place in the "companies" 10km challenge

Well done to all the runners for their energy, good humor and willingness to go the extra mile for Pasteurdon, and a big thank you to all the Institut Pasteur staff who turned out to support them.

•    Pasteurun – end of the first edition of the fundraising initiative

For the 18th edition of Pasteurdon, the Institut Pasteur invited companies and individuals to take part in a virtual run for charity.

From October 9 to 27, 2024, participants could sign up to the Pasteurun app, designed specially for the campaign, and cover as many kilometers as possible (running or walking) in support of the Institut Pasteur's scientists. Many Institut Pasteur staff took part in the initiative!

Here are some figures for this first edition:

•    280 participants (including more than 180 women) took part in the challenge
•    A total of 26,230km were covered, raising approximately €10,000 in support of research
•    2 partners for the campaign: Harmonie Mutuelle and the KeepCool network

To thank Institut Pasteur staff for their involvement, the first 50 staff to sign up have been invited to a prize-giving ceremony on November 27 in the greenhouse.
