COVID-19, cancer, antibiotic resistance: meeting the Institut Pasteur's scientists – Watch the online broadcast aimed at the general public on October 7 at 3pm

As announced in the previous issue of the newsletter, the Institut Pasteur, in partnership with Figaro Partner, is organizing an online broadcast aimed at the general public that will be shown on Thursday October 7 at 3pm in connection with the 15th edition of Pasteurdon.

Research is facing a host of new challenges, from the emergence of new SARS-CoV-2 variants and new forms of cancer to antibiotic resistance. At this event, introduced by Jean-François Chambon, Vice-President Communications and Scientific Outreach, and hosted by journalist Ariane Warlin, four Institut Pasteur scientists will be invited to discuss these subjects and to talk about their latest research:

COVID-19: What is the current situation? What does the future hold? Find out more about the virus, variants and immunity from Etienne Simon-Lorière, Head of the Evolutionary Genomics of RNA Viruses group, and Lisa Chakrabarti, a scientist in the Virus and Immunity Unit.

Cancer: New knowledge, new progress. Find out more about new prospects in the fight against the leading cause of death in France from Ludovic Deriano, Head of the Genome Integrity, Immunity and Cancer Unit.

Antibiotic resistance: Is this the new threat that we should all be afraid of? Find out more about this new threat from Mélanie Hamon, Head of the Chromatin and Infection Unit.

Join us on October 7 at 3pm via the pasteurdon.fr website for this online broadcast and learn about the Institut Pasteur's research on these essential public health challenges.
