Warning against the latest version of macOS

A new version of macOS is now available on Apple equipment.

However, the teams in the Information Systems Department have not yet approved the upgrade to the operating system macOS Catalina (version 10.15).

This upgrade is therefore currently not recommended and it may not be supported by the Information Systems Department, with the exception of new 2020 Apple models.

If you use OS X El Capitan, macOS High Sierra or macOS Mojave, you will probably receive a notification inviting you to upgrade to macOS Catalina.

Further invitations will follow over the next few days and weeks. We would ask you to answer "no" and not to implement this upgrade.

Please also note that it is not possible to reinstall a previous version without performing a full system reinstallation.

In some cases, moving up to the next system version can generate incompatibilities with software such as MS Office, Firefox, EndNote, VPN Pasteur, Syncplicity, Vidyo, FileMaker Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.

Further information about the compatibility of software with the various versions of macOS is available.

Please contact IT support before installing this upgrade because the Antivirus client will also need to be upgraded.
