COVID-19: message from the PBRP/BCP Committee on the resumption of work on campus

The indicators used to monitor the COVID-19 epidemic in France have now reached a level such that we can make some changes to the protective measures, while remaining cautious. The PBRP/BCP Committee would therefore like to announce the following decisions regarding the resumption of work on campus:

  • Working arrangements: the new agreement on working from home, signed on June 22 with all the trade unions, will come into effect on November 1. The special measure allowing staff to work from home for up to 3 days a week will no longer apply. The month of November will be a transitional period during which requests will be processed gradually by the Human Resources Department.

You can find more details about the implementation of the new agreement here

  • Strict compliance with hygiene and distancing measures*: masks will continue to be mandatory in confined spaces, and hand-washing, social distancing and regular airing of premises are crucial to avoid any further risk of infection on campus. We would remind you that vaccination offers protection from severe forms of COVID-19 and reduces transmission of the virus, thereby protecting you and your colleagues; ;

    *Masks used on public transport should be disposed of as soon as you arrive on campus. Dedicated bins for this purpose will be placed at the campus entrances.

  • Meetings: maximum occupancy limits (in French) will continue to apply and hygiene and distancing measures must be observed in meeting rooms. Any events due to be attended by a combination of external visitors and Institut Pasteur staff will remain subject to approval by the PBRP/BCP Committee until December 31;

  • Social gatherings: coffee breaks and other gatherings among Institut Pasteur staff may not exceed 25 people (except for events attended by both external visitors and Institut Pasteur staff, as mentioned above, for which the health pass will be required) until further notice;

  • Eating on campus: we would remind you that the company restaurant is open from 11.30am to 2.15pm. We would encourage you to make full use of these opening times to avoid the busiest period between 12 noon and 1pm.

The PBRP/BCP Committee is delighted to be able to announce this gradual return to normal levels of presence on campus for all Institut Pasteur staff. The committee nevertheless reserves the right to amend the measures if the epidemic situation changes.
