Emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and rapidly evolving pathogens continue to challenge global health security. Preparing for future pandemics requires not only scientific innovation, but also the ability to turn that innovation into vaccines and antibodies that can be developed, manufactured and deployed rapidly.

In this context, and closely aligned with the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan’s first scientific priority, the Institut Pasteur Education Department is launching a new Pasteur Course dedicated to vaccines, antibodies and pandemic preparedness.

Training the vaccinologists of tomorrow

The Vaccines and antibodies for pandemic preparedness and global health course aims to train a new generation of vaccinologists able to navigate the full vaccine and antibody development pathway, from fundamental research and antigen design to clinical development, manufacturing, regulation and deployment.

The course combines modern vaccinology and antibody discovery with pandemic preparedness and global health, bringing together scientific, clinical, industrial and policy perspectives.

What makes this course unique?

This course takes a pathogen-agnostic approach, using diverse case studies to explore how vaccine and antibody development can respond to different emerging threats. It also brings together the latest advances in the field, including mRNA vaccines, structure-based vaccinology, AI-driven discovery, immunomonitoring and correlates of protection.

Beyond scientific content, the course places a strong emphasis on exchange and networking across the pandemic preparedness and vaccine ecosystem, connecting participants with experts from academia, industry and international organizations, as well as networks such as the Pasteur Network and European Vaccine Hub.

Applications are now open

  • Dates: June 14–25, 2027
  • Language: English
