Jules Bordet exhibition: six more days to visit the exhibition in the Salle des Actes

As part of events held to mark the centenary of Jules Bordet's Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work on immunity (1919), the Pasteur Museum and the Scientific Information Resources Center (CeRIS) designed and produced an exhibition about the life and scientific achievements of Jules Bordet.

The exhibition, developed in partnership with the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), shows how Jules Bordet, a young medical graduate from the ULB who was working in Ilya Mechnikov's laboratory at the Institut Pasteur, discovered the importance of humoral immunity in the body's defenses against infectious diseases, via an experimental approach drawing on physiology, chemistry and microbiology. It highlights how Bordet's scientific achievements continue to influence immunology and microbiology today.

For those interested in visiting the exhibition and finding out more about Jules Bordet's life and eminent scientific career through a series of artifacts and original documents, including Bordet's Nobel Prize certificate, the museum and the CeRIS are pleased to announce six new visiting times (visitors must comply with applicable health measures).
