Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The "Antimicrobial Resistance Symposium – Bacteria, Fungi, Parasites and their Vectors" will take place on November 29 (Faculty of Medicine, Université de Paris) and November 30 (Institut Pasteur campus), organized jointly by those responsible for the AMR priority area at the Institut Pasteur and their colleagues at Université de Paris.
This event, which will explore study and treatment for infections and antimicrobial resistance for bacteria, fungi and parasites, will aim to share expertise on microorganisms and the multiple dimensions of the subject, exploring work in the field (epidemiology, modeling and evolution), therapeutics and the development of innovative strategies, looking at more fundamental aspects and combining microbiology, clinical research, epidemiology, structural biology, chemistry, physics, IT and mathematics, etc.
Four broad areas will be explored at the event:
• Clinics and Therapeutics
• Genomic epidemiology and resistance
• Host-Pathogen interaction directed therapy
• Resistance, persistence, tolerance and dormancy
The scientific conference will be opened by Christine Clerici, President of Université de Paris, and Stewart Cole, President of the Institut Pasteur. It will include short presentations and will particularly focus on opportunities for dialog as a means of facilitating discussions and networking.
There is still time to submit your contributions for the symposium – please send a detailed title together with full contact details and a photo of the speaker by email to Emilie Boutet: emilie.boutet@pasteur.fr by November 5, 2021.
Early career scientists are particularly encouraged to participate in this event.
The event is free but prior registration is required.
