CORONAVIRUS

COVID-19 - New video from Stewart Cole: Uncertainty returns

Dear colleagues,

This is my first video since July when I wished you a nice Summer.  We all hoped that the virus would not return when Fall arrived but, unfortunately, as you all know, this is now the case.

During the curfew period, announced by the French government until December, we need to limit the number of staff present on the campus while ensuring that as much wet work as possible continues in all our scientific areas. Therefore, I ask all staff who can work from home to do just that until the situation improves.

I also want to remind you to wear your masks all day on campus and to constantly respect hand hygiene and physical distancing in order to protect yourself, your colleagues, as well as your families.

I take this opportunity to congratulate Emmanuelle Charpentier, who did her PhD at Pasteur in the 90’s in Patrice Courvalin’s laboratory, on her well-deserved Nobel prize for discovering CRISPR-Cas9.

Thank you once again for your continuing contribution to Team Pasteur.

Have a great day.
