France Médias Monde and the Institut Pasteur sign a partnership agreement

On Wednesday October 19, 2016, Marie-Christine Saragosse, Chief Executive Officer of France Médias Monde, and Christian Bréchot, President of the Institut Pasteur, signed a framework partnership agreement which provides for the organization of joint communications campaigns and the exchange of content. This partnership signals the establishment of closer relations between two leading stakeholders - one in information broadcasting and the other in scientific expertise - which carry out their work at global level.

This agreement provides for France Médias Monde, via its RFI and France 24 (French) channels, to participate in Pasteurdon, the Institut Pasteur's annual campaign to raise awareness and funds among the general public, from 2016 onwards. This type of commitment may be repeated on other occasions to strengthen the Institut Pasteur's global reputation and promote its work. The agreement also provides for cooperation with a view to enhancing the "Knowledge" section of the RFI Savoirs website with scientific articles or expert reports from the Institut Pasteur. An editorial part in the agreement paves the way for enhanced cooperation based on appearances by Institut Pasteur experts on the TV channels and radio stations run by the France Médias Monde group.

RFI, France 24 and Monte Carlo Doualiya, which report on global health issues on a daily basis, are natural partners to help boost the international visibility of the Institut Pasteur's public service mission and pass on its recognized expertise on health issues to as many people as possible.
