CeRIS

Upcoming CeRIS trainings

•   Remote training - Drawing up a data management plan for a research project, Thursday October 10, 2024 from 2 to 4.30pm* (in French)

Do you need to draft a Data Management Plan (DMP) for your project without actually knowing what one is? Have you found yourself wondering how a DMP might be useful for you? Or have you had difficulties answering the questions you need to cover in a DMP?

This session is for you!
CeRIS will help you understand how to write this document, often requested by funding bodies (ANR, European Commission...), which describes a project's data and how it is managed throughout its lifecycle. You'll learn how to use the OPIDoR DMP tool, which enables you to write your DMP collaboratively. And you'll discover how the DMP can help you improve your research project.

Aims of the training:
•    Understand the questions asked in the DMP
•    Learn how to use the OPIDoR DMP tool to write your DMP
•    Learn how to use the DMP as a tool for improving your project

The training session is aimed at scientists, engineers, postdoctoral fellows and project managers who may need to produce a DMP for their research project.

It will take place in person in French.

•  In-person training – Reproducible and transparent research: adopting other forms of publication, Tuesday October 15, 2 to 4.30pm* (in English)

Do you want to publish your research transparently and facilitate reproducibility?

There are a number of alternative formats to traditional research articles, such as executable papers, data papers, software papers, lab protocols and registered reports. And to find your way around these different publication types and understand the differences between them, why not come to a training session on the topic!

This training session will help you:
•    Familiarize yourself with five alternative forms of open access publication;
•    Understand how these publication types support open, reproducible science;
•    Choose the publication type that is best suited to your needs.

The maximum number of participants is 12; spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
