New organization and appointments to the senior management team

  • New functions for Christophe d’Enfert

Institut Pasteur's senior management recently shared with you some important news about its future organization. Click here to read the message dated September 23:

“ Dear Pasteurians,

I would like to share with you some important news for the future of our organization.

After seven years of unwavering commitment to the institute's executive management, Christophe d'Enfert, Senior Executive Scientific Vice-President, is about to take up a new position within our institute.

To strengthen our scientific capabilities and enhance the Institute's influence worldwide, I have decided to entrust Christophe d’Enfert with the task of defining and implementing the scientific strategy for the collaborations and partnerships we are forging with international research organizations. This important mission for the future of Institut Pasteur will be fully integrated into the roadmap of the strategic plan and the International Affairs Department, led by Odette Tomescu-Hatto, both in terms of bilateral partnerships and in strengthening Institut Pasteur's actions within the Pasteur Network. In concrete terms, Christophe d’Enfert will carry out his duties as Executive Vice President Science until the end of 2024, and will take up his new post at the beginning of 2025. I know that Christophe d’Enfert will be able to put his vision and the experience he has acquired over his many years at the Institut Pasteur to good use in meeting this challenge, which is essential to our institute's influence around the world, and thus contribute to the achievement of the Pasteur 2030 strategic plan.

Over the past seven years, through his decisions and his work, Christophe d’Enfert has been a central player in the implementation of the 2019-2023 strategic plan. He has forged close relationships with the Institute's research community, facilitating their day-to-day work and promoting their research. He was a valued contact for our various scientific and institutional partners. He also led the task force set up for COVID-19, which played a decisive role in coordinating the mobilization of our campus. For this unique contribution, I would like to thank him sincerely and personally.

Within two to three weeks, we will be launching an open selection process to identify our future Scientific Director.

I have high hopes for this new organization, and I'm counting on the support of each and every one of you to help us make this essential transition for the future of our organization.

Yours sincerely,”

Yasmine Belkaid
President
