Cooperation between the Institut Pasteur and Hamad Bin Khalifa University on training in genome research, precision medicine and disease prevention
Friday 29th September, Pr Christian Bréchot welcomed on the Institut Pasteur’s campus in Paris, Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Vice-Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation to sign a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement will set the basis for building joint research projects, establish scientist and faculty exchanges programs and develop students’ mobility between the two institutions.It will include in addition to infectious diseases, research on chronic/non transmissible diseases most prevalent in the region like diabetes, cancer, neurodegenerative and genetic diseases.
