Appointment of new research associates

The Institut Pasteur is delighted to welcome 10 new research associates (6 women and 4 men) to the Pasteur campus. Their projects will enrich our range of expertise, explore new fields of research in biological health and develop our scientific collaborations with our partner institutions, the CNRS, Inserm and Inria.

The Institut Pasteur welcomes seven research associates from partner institutions:

•    Four research associates from the CNRS:

o    Hélène Bordelet, who is elucidating the 3D organization of genomes and its impact on cellular processes in the Spatial Regulation of Genomes Unit led by Romain Kozsul,
o    Markel Martinez Carranza, who is investigating the structure of proteins that replicate and repair DNA in the Architecture and Dynamics of Biological Macromolecules Unit led by Marc Delarue,
o    Arthur Michaut, who is researching the morphogenesis and mechanics of embryonic development in the Dynamic Regulation of Morphogenesis Unit led by Jérôme Gros,
o   Núria Ros I Rocher, who is charting the evolution of morphogenesis starting with our single-cell ancestors in the Evolutionary Cell Biology and Evolution of Morphogenesis five-year group led by Thibault Brunet,

•    Two Inserm research associates:

o    Dorothée Arzounian, whose work is focused on improving the performance of implants used to treat severe and profound hearing loss at the Center for Research and Innovation in Human Audiology (CeRIAH) led by Paul Avan,
o    Marion Guérin, who is investigating how immune responses work in cancer in the Dynamics of Immune Responses Unit led by Philippe Bousso,

•    One research associates at Inria:

o    Alex Barbier-Chebbah, who is exploring biological algorithms for decision-making in the Decision and Bayesian Computation Unit led by Jean-Baptiste Masson,

•    Three of these new research associates are employed by the Institut Pasteur:

o   Julia Bos, who studies how bacteria adapt to antibiotics and communicate using their extracellular vesicles. within the Bacterial Genome Plasticity Unit led by Didier Mazel,
o    Ignacio Fernandez, who is using structural biology to elucidate the various stages in the virus multiplication cycle in the Structural Virology Unit led by Felix Rey,
o   Aimée Taylor, who is developing modeling tools for specific infectious diseases in the Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Analytics five-year group led by Michael White.

Institut Pasteur congratulates all of these young researchers, whom Institut Pasteur is delighted to welcome, and thanks its partners, the CNRS, Inserm and Inria, for their collaboration in making their arrival possible.
