Preview of the documentary "Pasteur and Koch: A duel of giants in the world of microbes" on the Institut Pasteur campus

Reminder: Make sure you save the date of September 20 to come along to a preview screening of the docudrama Pasteur et Koch, un duel de géants dans le monde des microbes (Pasteur and Koch: A duel of giants in the world of microbes), which will be broadcast on the TV channel Arte in October.

Directed by Mathieu Schwartz on the basis of the book of the same name by Annick Perrot, honorary curator of the Institut Pasteur, and Maxime Schwartz, former President of the Institut Pasteur, and produced by Martange Production, this film explores the turbulent rivalry between the two great scientists, considered as national heroes in their respective countries. The rivalry, which even extended to the schools they set up, was not without its advantages: in striving to outdo each other, the French and German scientists accomplished a raft of achievements that were surprisingly complementary. Between them, they managed to overcome most of the infectious diseases that once plagued humanity.

This event, open to all, will be held on September 20 at 7pm in the CIS auditorium. It will be attended by the production team and will be followed by a cocktail reception in the CIS hall.
