Targeting the real risk areas and predict - up to 6 months before - a dengue epidemic: it is the ambitious challenge of epidemiology laboratory at the Institut Pasteur in French Guiana. Supported by Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES), the research project Detect (Dengue transmission and emergence control using tele-epidemiology) uses tele-epidemiology. CNES met with Claude Flamand, head of the Epidemiology Unit of the Institut Pasteur in French Guiana.
