On Monday September 18, the Institut Pasteur's association for young researchers (StaPa) and the MAASCC welcome, support and career development structure for scientists are jointly organizing the Meet your editor seminar.

The speaker will be Nonia Pariente, Senior Editor for Nature Microbiology, and the event will run from 12 noon onwards in the social center "The 25".

Nonia hails from a mid-sized city on the northeastern coast of Spain. She finished her PhD in Madrid, with one of the pioneers of RNA virus evolution, Dr. Esteban Domingo. She moved to UCLA for postdoctoral training focused on lentiviral vectors for gene therapy, in Irvin Chen's laboratory. It was in 2007 that she decided to swap her lap bench for a desk by joining the EMBO Reports editorial team. In 2012 Nonia became Senior Editor, responsible for microbiology and immunology topics. Currently, at Nature Microbiology, she is in charge of virology and mycology.

After the seminar, Nonia will have lunch with PhD Students and Postdocs.
