Our guide to what not to miss in Pasteurdon 2016: Get your diaries ready!

The 10th anniversary edition of Pasteurdon is set to be a fantastic event.

 

Based on the Paris campus, the home of the Institut Pasteur, Pasteurdon 2016 will kick off on October 5 by celebrating 10 years of a unique human adventure. Note the date in your diaries, and make sure you keep your schedule free between 12 noon and 2pm.

This year, at the launch event attended by Christian Bréchot and Alexandra Lamy, come and discover what Pasteurdon 2016 has in store and celebrate the wonderful potential of the entire Institut Pasteur coming together for the cause. With your participation, we can guarantee that it will be a memorable occasion!

 

On Thursday October 6 and Friday October 7, Pasteurdon will be hosting school students of all ages, together with their teachers, for science discovery days including fun workshops on topics such as DNA, chemistry and the observation of infinitely small worlds.

The students will learn about respecting the environment through activities on sustainable development and a recycling-themed game.

Other stands will give these youngsters, supervised by Institut Pasteur scientists, a unique introduction to lab activities.

 

Finally, on Saturday October 8, from 1 to 6pm, the campus will open its gates to Institut Pasteur staff and their families.

The program includes a tour of the museum, educational workshops, a chance to discover three laboratories via augmented reality, and athletic challenges.

The documentary Invasion moustiques, which was produced in large part thanks to the expertise of the Institut Pasteur in Cambodia, will be shown several times, with directors Patrice Desenne and Frédéric Létang attending one screening.

A refreshment area with snacks and drinks will be provided by our partner Score Services, with proceeds going to the Institut Pasteur.
