The agreement between the Institut Pasteur and ESPCI ParisTech, signed on September 16, is the result of an alliance between two prestigious institutions. The aims of this partnership are to strengthen technological research, stimulate scientific progress in the field of biology, and facilitate the development of interdisciplinary projects.

This large-scale partnership will make particular use of the Institut Pasteur's new Center for Innovation and Technological Research (Citech), a cross-disciplinary structure set up in 2014 to boost technological research at the Institut Pasteur. The partnership also reflects ESPCI ParisTech's commitment to developing its scientific activities in the field of biology.

The development of closer relations between the two institutions will enable them to share expertise and technology, while opening up the possibility of extended residencies for scientists in the Institut Pasteur and ESPCI's laboratories and facilitating innovative interdisciplinary projects. The complementary expertise of ESPCI ParisTech and the Institut Pasteur will help consolidate technological research at both institutions and across the Greater Paris region in general.
