PhD and post-doc grants for young Latin American scientists with the EMHE program

Reminder : The Department of International Affairs and the Education Department are pleased to remind you the second launch of the fellowship program “Enhancing Mobility in Health and Environment” (EMHE).
The EMHE program, by providing doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships, aims to enhance mobility between Latin American and European countries and to develop in fine international scientific collaborations.
 
The EMHE call is now open for laboratory applications for PhD and Post-doc proposals in the field of “Health and Environment”.
 
The Institut Pasteur coordinates this program with a consortium of 5 Research Funding Organisations - Argentina (MINCYT), Costa-Rica (MICITT), Mexico (CONACYT), Peru (CONCYTEC), Uruguay (ANII) and 2 others Research Performing Organisations - Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD - France) and CSIC (Spain).
 
The EMHE programme provides different kind of fellowships:
 

  • Full doctorate fellowships

- 2 PhD fellowships in the framework of the EMHE/PPU program* (only for the Institut Pasteur in Paris),
- 2 full PhD fellowships for Peruvian students,
- 2 full PhD fellowships for Costa-Rican students
 

  • Co-direction thesis fellowships

- 2 for Argentinian students,
- 4 for Uruguayan students
 

  • Postdoctoral fellowships

- 5 ONLY for Mexican researchers who already have a working contract in their home country (in addition to the bilateral agreement between Institut Pasteur and CONACYT).
 

The selection process of the PPU-EMHE will be different from the PPU program. However, the students will benefit from the same financial conditions and scientific framework as the PPU students.
