Establishment of the Hearing Institute, a new Institut Pasteur center: scientific experts within the field of hearing brought together for a high-level international meeting

An international scientific inauguration meeting was held on September 16 and 17, 2019 at the Collège de France to mark the creation of the Hearing Institute, an Institut Pasteur center dedicated to auditory neuroscience research. Organized by Professor Christine Petit, a scientist emeritus at the Institut Pasteur, holder of the Genetics and Cell Physiology Chair at the Collège de France, and first Director of the Hearing Institute, this international scientific meeting provided an opportunity to mark the opening of this outstanding research center and to promote cutting-edge research to benefit individuals with hearing loss. The Hearing Institute will be officially inaugurated in early 2020.
