A new document collating and summarizing information on the Institut Pasteur’s cancer research

Over 12 months ago, plans to compile, collate and summarize the work achieved by the Institut Pasteur’s scientists on cancer research in a dedicated brochure were launched on the Paris campus to promote this field of investigation. The Institut Pasteur is less known for its cancer research and yet, just like this disease with its various forms and etiologies, there are numerous cross-cutting research projects underway in several units throughout the institute’s 11 departments.

The Institut Pasteur’s former Mapping and Scientific Communications Department has been working closely with Robert Weil – head of the Signaling and Pathogenesis laboratory and Institut Pasteur representative within the Ile-de-France Canceropole – with the aim of compiling information on the oncology research teams and activities. Now, a year and a half later, a "review" or brochure, has been published in-house (pdf available) featuring no fewer than 51 research projects.

This compilation of the oncology projects underway is important because it promotes our research community working on cancer, both within our walls and to the outside world. The brochure should also strengthen our community and lead to new future-oriented reflections, resulting in new partnerships and sources of funding.
