A look back at the first ever "particle pollution hunt"!

On September 16, the members of the 2017 Institut Pasteur iGEM team invited the public to come along and take part in a unique urban treasure hunt – a "particle pollution hunt" – based around a highly topical issue with a real impact for our health and the environment.

The event involved several sites in Paris where the public could come and meet the team, chat, learn and take part in fun activities, with the aim of raising awareness about the serious issue of air pollution. Around a hundred participants raked the Latin Quarter with a fine-tooth comb, from the Jardin du Luxembourg to the entrance of Notre-Dame Cathedral, via the Panthéon, Place Saint-Michel and the "Maison du Poumon" respiratory disease center.

The team is already busy coming up with ideas for the next installment – and in the meantime, you can keep up with the progress of the project via social media.
