Running and Vivons Vélo staff challenge: a collective effort in aid of Pasteurdon

  • 2023 edition of "La Parisienne": Pounding the pavements of Paris in aid of Pasteurdon

The latest edition of the "La Parisienne" race took place on September 10, and 50 of the Institut Pasteur's female scientists took to the starting line to run in aid of Pasteurdon. With a choice between 7km and 10km by running, or 7 km by walking, each participant could choose the distance that suited them best as they took part in this fun and friendly sporting challenge. On a sweltering day in Paris, the runners gathered at the foot of the Eiffel Tower for the start, ready to take to the tarmac in aid of Pasteurdon!

Building on past performances, and as determined as ever to do their very best over their chosen distance, the Institut Pasteur team once again came in the top 15, clocking up:

•    14th place out of a total of 161 in the "companies" 7km challenge
•    8th place out of a total of 81 in the "companies" 10km challenge

Well done to all the runners for their energy, good humor and willingness to go the extra mile for Pasteurdon, and a big thank you to all the Institut Pasteur staff who turned out to support them.

  • On October 8: the "20km de Paris" for Pasteurdon accompanied by a special Institut Pasteur fanfare!

In 2023, the "20km de Paris" race is back on the road for its 45th edition!

Following on from the Institut Pasteur team that took to the streets of Paris for the "La Parisienne" race in early September, another team is gearing up to pound the pavements of the French capital in the latest edition of the prestigious "20km de Paris" race.

This year, 51 Institut Pasteur staff will be forming a new team to take part in the race on Sunday October 8, all proudly wearing the colors of Pasteurdon in support of the cause.

This year they will also be encouraged by the strains of the Institut Pasteur fanfare selected by the organizers of the "20km de Paris." A band of musicians will be playing this special new composition at kilometer 17 to cheer all the runners on – and especially to encourage the Institut Pasteur team.

You can come along and encourage them too, either alongside the musicians playing the Institut Pasteur fanfare or at the Institut Pasteur stand in the Emile Anthoine stadium, where the start and finish line will be this year.

We wish all the runners all the very best as they prepare for the big day!

  • "Vivons Vélo" for the Institut Pasteur: Get pedaling for Pasteurdon!

As announced in the September 8 issue of the newsletter, the "Vivons Vélo" initiative in aid of the Institut Pasteur, organized with AG2R LA MONDIALE, is back this year, in a digital format!

AG2R LA MONDIALE is encouraging you to download the "Vivons Vélo" application, to register individually or as a team, and to get pedaling to cover as many kilometers as possible until October 7, for the Institut Pasteur's research.

So far 23 Institut Pasteur teams have been formed and 13,456 km covered! It's not too late to join in and turn every pedal stroke into a boost for research.
