2019-2023 STRATEGIC PLAN

Message from Stewart Cole – Gender Week 2022, a major event from September 27 to 30

Dear all,

As I announced in July, the 2022 edition of Gender Week, a week to raise awareness and promote gender equality at the Institut Pasteur, will take place from September 27 to 30.

I would strongly encourage you to consult the program (which you can find here) and to take part in the many events organized for this week dedicated to gender equality and working better together.

I will have the pleasure of opening the conference and the round tables that will be held on Tuesday September 27 from 2 to 4.30pm in the CIS auditorium, where a selection of quality speakers will discuss a variety of topics related to gender equality, including unconscious bias, sexist behavior and the glass ceiling.

Throughout the week you will also have the opportunity to take part in other sessions to raise awareness and encourage discussion:

  A Teams information session on Wednesday September 28 at 3pm: "Sexist behavior and harassment: prevention, identification, action";
Training workshops throughout the day on Thursday September 29 about women in leadership, communication and working relationships;
   A coffee chat held in English on the topic "Glass ceiling and sticky floor," on Friday September 30 at 11.30am (Alexandre Yersin building);
  A "chill café" held in English on the topic "Striking a balance between personal and professional life," on Friday September 30 at 2pm (Alexandre Yersin building).

I hope that lots of you will be able to take part in this event aimed at encouraging awareness and collective action.

Gender Week is firmly in line with our commitment to gender equality in the workplace, especially in connection with our Gender Equality Plan, published in January (see the plan here).

Kind regards,

Professor Stewart Cole
President
