Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The annual Council of the Directors of the Institut Pasteur International Network took place from September 20 to 22 in Abidjan. More than 80 representatives of the 33 International Network member institutes attended this major annual event, which provides an opportunity to review joint initiatives and agree on future areas for the development of the network. The event included a number of highlights, especially the Scientific Day, which featured the prize-giving ceremony for the Dedonder-Clayton Award and the very first "Pasteur International Talent" awards.
This 49th edition was an opportunity to highlight the Institut Pasteur in Côte d'Ivoire, which, since its creation in 1972, has been one of the pillars of research and public health in the country and the region. Over the past 10 years, the institute has undergone a major technological shift to become one of the most advanced institutions in West Africa. "We have achieved some of our dreams to advance science in Africa", commented Prof. Mireille Dosso, Director of the Institut Pasteur in Côte d'Ivoire.
