Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
After the success of the first call, we now launch the 2nd call for proposals of the GPF M&B, termed “seeds for innovation”. This call encourages the exploration of new ideas that may generate breakthrough concepts on how the microbial world and the nervous system interact to maintain health or drive pathology. The projects will be written in a short format to encourage the development of new ideas and depart from a more traditional grant format that is based on abundant previous literature and a large body of preliminary data. Here, we will favor bold proposals, which must nevertheless be supported by two pieces (two figures) of experimental data.
Eligibility: permanent and non-permanent members of the Institut Pasteur Paris, or by members of the International Pasteur Network. Projects can include collaborators outside of the Institut Pasteur Paris and of the International Pasteur Network, but the budget will not cover their expenses.
Funding: €200 k in total costs per project.
Duration: 2 years assuming a positive evaluation after the first year.
Proposals deadline: December 1, 2016
Results of selection: March 1, 2017
Start of funding: May 2, 2017
