Memo on the work of members of the GreenTeam community
The GreenTeam Employee Resource Group (GreenTeam ERG), formed in March 2023, is a community of staff members committed to environmental initiatives at the Institut Pasteur.
The GreenTeam is organized into seven working groups, covering the majority of areas where initiatives can be undertaken to reduce the impact of the Institut Pasteur's activities:
- Procurement
- Buildings/Energy
- Plastic
- Mobility/Awareness
- Food
- Biodiversity
- Digital technologies
The community currently has more than a hundred members, who act as ambassadors (passing on information and raising awareness among colleagues) and/or stakeholders (collecting data and serving as members of working groups).
The GreenTeam organizes regular events such as Green Cafés, as well as specific events to raise awareness of measures and initiatives during international days and weeks dedicated to sustainable development, the environment and biodiversity. It also organizes Climate Fresk workshops and training sessions. The GreenTeam provides several tools to help staff become ambassadors or stakeholders for the community.
Memo to support the work of GreenTeam members
The activities of members of the GreenTeam community, supported by the senior management team and in line with the Strategic Plan, are led and coordinated by the Support and Coordination Center in the Institut Pasteur's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR/RSE) Department, which supplies the budget for initiatives that are proposed and approved.
Membership of the GreenTeam is open to all Institut Pasteur staff members (staff on fixed term/permanent contracts, managerial and non-managerial staff), as well as OREX, students, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows.
All members of the community serve as ambassadors. Those who wish to get more involved can also be stakeholders.
GreenTeam members can reach out to the CSR/RSE Department at any time to provide expertise and support for GreenTeam initiatives.
