Next Startup Breakfast on November 24, 2026: “From Invention to Innovation: How to develop your invention into an innovative product/service”
The next Startup Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at 9am in room 11, on the second floor of the Émile Roux Pavilion.
The theme is “From Invention to Innovation: How to develop your invention into an innovative product/service” with Nicolas Mouz, Head of Innovation Development in the Department of Applications of Research and Relations with Industrials (DARRI).
Nicolas Mouz joined the Institut Pasteur in late 2024 as Head of Technological Innovation Development. At the Institute, he is responsible for identifying, supporting, and overseeing technology projects with strong commercialization potential. He also contributes to the development of therapeutic projects involving biologics.
Nicolas previously held several positions at the pharmaceutical company Sanofi, including Head of the Antibody Discovery department, where he notably managed the development of an innovative and high-performance platform for generating therapeutic antibodies.
Before joining Sanofi, Nicolas was a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of PX’Therapeutics (Protein’eXpert), a biotechnology company specializing in therapeutic protein engineering and the GMP-compliant bioproduction of batches for clinical trials. During this time, he contributed to the development of numerous therapeutic projects originating from biotechnology companies, startups, and academic institutions.
Nicolas began his career at a CNRS research unit at the Institute of Structural Biology in Grenoble and holds a PhD in biochemistry and structural biology, with a thesis focusing on bacterial resistance to antibiotics.
During the seminar, Nicolas Mouz will share practical insight on how to develop and validate an innovative scientific project as it evolves into a product or service.
Join us for this opportunity to explore the journey that transform scientific discoveries into products and services.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required at suaw@pasteur.fr.
The “Startup Breakfast”, a monthly seminar series, addressing key aspects of the innovation process and the creation of life science companies - along with the challenges they face. Eight sessions, each focused on a specific theme and led by a leading expert, will be held during the 2026-2027 academic year.
