Call for applications: Host Laboratory - Amgen Scholars 2026
The Amgen Scholars Team and the Education Department are pleased to launch the call for applications for host laboratories for the Amgen Scholars 2026 program at the Institut Pasteur.
The Amgen Scholars 2026 program will run from July 1 to September 1, 2026 and will welcome 10 undergraduate students from European universities for an intensive research internship at Institut Pasteur.
- How to Apply
If you are interested in hosting an Amgen Scholar, please send back the project proposal document (available here) to amgenscholars@pasteur.fr before February 15th, 2025.
- Financial Coverage Conditions
The Amgen Scholars Program is entirely funded by the Amgen Fondation, which covers :
- Student accommodation
- Student stipend
- Travel expenses
- Laboratory bench fees up to 1500 €.
The Institut Pasteur Amgen Scholars Team provides full administrative support to both laboratories and students throughout the program.
- Student Selection Process
The final student selection will be conducted by the Institut Pasteur Amgen Scholars Committee based on academic records, motivation, and career projects (with a focus on PhD aspirations).
Each host laboratory will then have the opportunity to select their candidate from 4-5 pre-selected profiles.
We strongly recommend scientific supervision combining a permanent researcher or unit head with a postdoctoral fellow or senior PhD student. If more than 10 proposals are received, host laboratories will be designated by random draw.
We hope to count on your engagement to offer young international talents an excellence research experience at the Institut Pasteur.
Beyond logistics, hosting means boosting your lab's attractiveness to future talent, shaping Europe's next scientific generation, and highlighting your work to PhD-motivated students.
