Erasmus+ call for projects: become a host laboratory for Erasmus+ science or medical students

Image

The Institut Pasteur has established partnerships with around 100 European international universities as well as with two European university alliances, EUGLOH and Circle U, as part of the Erasmus+ programme. As in previous years, the Institut Pasteur also aims to welcome more medical students and young medical doctors to the campus through the MD-PhD programme, in the desire to strengthen links between fundamental research and clinical practice.

The Erasmus+ programme provides funding for training placements of up to 12 months. Students are selected by their home university and are free to choose their host laboratory in another European country.

In accordance with French law, the host laboratory must pay the student the mandatory internship allowance, amounting to approximately 600 euros per month.

If you are interested in hosting an Erasmus+ science or medical student in your laboratory, please submit a short project using the forms below:

one form for science students

one form for medical students

If your project is open to both profiles, please complete both forms. Forms must be submitted in .doc or .docx format and sent to erasmus@pasteur.fr from today and no later than September 18, 2026.

All projects will be forwarded to selected partner universities and may be published online after validation.

Please note:

If a student selects your project, they will contact you directly.

  • It is strongly recommended that you request additional information, arrange an interview and decline the application if it does not meet your expectations.

  • Hosting an Erasmus+ student is also an excellent way to preselect candidates for a future PhD in your laboratory, including through the PPU or MD-PhD programmes.

As each university follows its own selection calendar, you may receive applications throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
