Sign up for the new version of the Vaccinology MOOC
The digital education office is pleased to invite you to sign up for the sixth edition of the Vaccinology MOOC, extensively revised and starting May 5, 2026.
Vaccines are among the most effective public health interventions currently available. Most of the viral and bacterial infections that traditionally affected children have been drastically reduced thanks to national immunization programs. The recent COVID-19 pandemic and the development of mRNA vaccines raise questions about the future of vaccinology in a world where epidemics are multiplying. How has vaccinology evolved in recent years? What are the different steps in vaccine development? How vaccines can be made accessible to the population worldwide? These are some of the questions we will be tackling in this MOOC.
By the end of this course, you will be able to :
Summarize the basics of vaccinology
Define vaccine design and the clinicalstepsrequired to develop a vaccine
Describerecent vaccines that have been developped
Discuss how to improve the vaccine coverage
Explain the challenges learntfrom the COVID-19 pandemic
