Ten Years of Pasteur MOOCs: Sharing Science Differently
In 2015, the Institut Pasteur launched its very first MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). Ten years later, this digital adventure has enabled the transmission of advanced scientific knowledge in the fields of infectious diseases and life sciences to over 250,000 learners from 190 countries.

From virology to immunology, Neglected Tropical Diseases, modelling, clinical research or social sciences, our MOOCs and its Digital Diploma in Infectious Diseases have opened access to scientific excellence anytime, anywhere.
The Education Department and the Digital Education Hub want to express their deep gratitude to everyone who has made this decade possible, thank you for bringing this mission to life. And we’re only getting started.

This diploma, created in 2020 and already obtained by more than 200 learners from around the world, is now available free of charge to all Pasteurians. Until now, it had been reserved for doctoral students.

Are you a French speaker? No registration required, browse the “Boocs”, for quick access to transcripts of MOOC video sessions! A "booc" is a carefully designed and illustrated PDF file that compiles French subtitles for all MOOC videos. This educational tool is available for 18 MOOCs in the catalog.
