Focus on : Launch of 4 calls of proposals in 2016 by Department of Development - Grant Office

The Department of Development - Grant Office (DDGO) aims at implementing key components of the Institut Pasteur’s strategic plan, in particular:

- to develop collaborative research between Institut Pasteur in Paris and its international Network of 33 Institutes Pasteur in 26 countries & 5 continents,
- to tackle societal challenges by promoting interdisciplinary research through various types of incentive calls.

Within the DD-GO, the dedicated office named SPPI (Incentive Research Programs and Partnerships Department – sppi@pasteur.fr) headed by Mallory Perrin-Wolff (mallory.perrin-wolff@pasteur.fr) launches and supports a series of strategic research programs, using Institut Pasteur’s own funds for the initial phases. Starting from this highly competitive and exciting projects’ portfolio, the Institut Pasteur will explore any form of partnership, public or private, industrial or philanthropic to establish some long-term financial partnerships.

In this context, SPPI launches in 2016 4 calls : the PTR, the ACIP, PasteurInnov and ValoExpress.

The SPPI will closely work with Research Application and Industrial Partnerships Department (DARRI), Infectious Diseases Carnot-Pasteur Institute (Pasteur MI), International Direction (DI) for the selection and support of the projects.

Fondation Recherche Médicale (FRM) - Allocation de stage post-doctoral à l'étranger

Objectif : accorder une Aide individuelle pour la première année d’un stage postdoctoral dans un laboratoire à l’étranger.

Eligibilité :chercheur non statutaire, titulaire d’un doctorat en sciences soutenu en France à la date du conseil scientifique et ayant une perspective claire de retour en France

• Laboratoire d’origine situé en France

• Le bénéficiaire peut être déjà installé à l’étranger. Dans ce cas, il doit l’être depuis 3 mois maximum à la date du Conseil Scientifique (18 mars 2016)

Durée : un an

Montant : 30.000€

Global Education and Training Initiative (GETI) : Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial international study grants (YY)

Purpose: to enable cancer investigators from any country to carry out bilateral research projects abroad which exploit complementary materials or skills, including advanced training in experimental methods or special techniques.

Eligible candidates : clinicians, epidemiologists, public health professionals, actively engaged in cancer research.

Duration: 3 months

Funding: US$ 10,000

The Lalor Foundation (Advancing Research and Innovation in Reproductive Health) - Postdoctoral fellowship program

Purpose: to support researchers early in their work so that they can become independently funded in the field of mammalian reproductive biology as related to the regulation of fertility.

Eligibility: The individual nominated by the applicant institution for the postdoctoral fellowship may be a citizen of any country. The individual should have training and experience at least equal to the Ph.D. or M.D. level.

Funding: $50,000 per year for coverage of fellowship stipend, fringes and institutional overhead.

Université Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC) - Contrats doctoraux

Objectif : l’USPC avec le soutien de l’Union Européenne, par l’intermédiaire du projet COFUND INSPIRE (Interdisciplinarity and excellence for doctoral training of international researchers in Paris) [1], mettra au concours en 2016 trente contrats doctoraux destinés à accueillir dans ses équipes de recherche des doctorant.e.s étranger.e.s au meilleur niveau. Toutes les régions du monde sont concernées.

Eligibilité : Toutes les disciplines sont éligibles.

Durée et financement : trois ans, rémunération légèrement supérieure à celle des contrats doctoraux.

Fondation ARC APPEL A PROJETS 2016 « PROGRAMME LABELLISÉ Fondation ARC »

Objectif : soutenir la recherche en cancérologie. Permettre la mise en œuvre de projets ambitieux et originaux, solidement argumentés dans ce domaine.

Champ : tous les domaines et disciplines participant à la lutte contre le cancer, depuis la recherche fondamentale et translationnelle jusqu’à la recherche clinique, incluant l’épidémiologie.

Durée : 36 mois

Montant : 150 K€ par an (450 K€ pour 36 mois)

DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) - Office allemand d'échanges universitaires : Bourses d'études de longue durée en Allemagne

Objectif : offrir aux étudiants diplômés de toutes disciplines la possibilité de poursuivre leurs études en Allemagne au sein d’un établissement d’enseignement supérieur public ou reconnu par l’Etat en vue, d'une part, d'obtenir le Master / Diplom ou de faire une spécialisation, sanctionnée par un diplôme obtenu en Allemagne ou en France.

Durée :

- 10 à 24 mois à partir du 1er octobre 2016 pour les études de master ou une spécialisation sanctionnée par un diplôme en Allemagne

- une année universitaire (7 à 10 mois) en Allemagne à partir du 1er octobre 2016 dans le cadre des études de Master ou d’une spécialisation en France(1ère ou 2ème année, diplôme obtenu en France)

Montant : 750 € par mois. Le cas échéant, prestations complémentaires.

EU / Institut National du Cancer (INCa) / Fondation ARC : TRANSCAN-2 - Second Call for Research Proposals : JTC

Purpose: The ERA‐NET Aligning national/regional translational cancer research programmes and activities, TRANSCAN-2, has the goal of coordinating national and regional funding programmes for research in the area of translational cancer

Theme : Immunology and immunotherapy of cancer: strengthening the translational aspects

Aim1:* Identification and validation of shared or personalized mutated human tumor antigenic targets

Aim 2: Development of new and combined immunotherapeutic strategies for cancers patients

Aim 3: Translational research for clinical application of cancer immunotherapy

Funding: 2.000.000€
