Following the great success of the previous iAwards Europe calls for projects, Sanofi is delighted to launch the Sanofi Innovations in Data Exploration, Analytics & Technology (iDEA-TECH) Awards Europe 2025-2026.

The iDEA-TECH Awards aims to fund innovative projects to transform breakthrough digital, data science tools and new technologies into solutions that accelerate the R&D pipeline and improve people’s lives.

The iDEA-TECH Award provides €120,000 in funding to support 1-year projects led by academic researchers from partner research institutes including the Institut Pasteur.

Launched on November 6, the scope of the call seeks innovative technology partnerships across seven thematic areas that leverage AI/ML and fifteen cutting-edge platforms to accelerate precision medicine and therapeutic development.

The call emphasizes technologies that can advance drug discovery and development across Sanofi's key therapeutic areas: Immunology (including autoimmune and inflammatory diseases), Oncology, Neurology (including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and ALS), Ophthalmology (including AMD, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy).

The seven thematic areas are listed below:

• Use of Real-World Evidence, Clinical and Patient Experience Data
• Novel Modalities and Advanced Delivery Systems
• Advanced Imaging and Microscopy
• Multi-omics and Integrated Disease Understanding
• Disease Modeling and Biologic Assays
• Process Innovation and Automation
• Safety and Risk Assessment

Mandatory upstream validation by the DARRI team: send your project to ideatechsanofidarri25@pasteur.fr before December 8, 2025.

Once the DARRI has given the green light, the deadline for submission of pre-projects on Sanofi website is December 12, 2025.
