Seed Grant calls for proposals are currently open for scientific priorities 1, 3 and 4
The Scientific Priorities 1- Infectious Disease Threats, 3- Origins of Diseases and 4- Health and Disease at the Extremes of Life have recently launched, in collaboration with the Scientific Incentive Actions Programming Service (SPAIS), the 2026 edition of their Seed Grants, an internal funding initiative designed to support early-career researchers at the Institut Pasteur.
Each call for proposals will support exploratory and interdisciplinary projects aimed at answering questions related to the research area. The aim is to investigate new research directions, assess innovative protocols and gather preliminary data to initiate new projects.
- Scientific priority 1 – Infectious Disease Threats
This call for proposals is open to postdoctoral fellows and will exclusively support short-term collaborative exploratory projects between postdocs from different entities of the Institut Pasteur campus.
- Grant: up to 10 000 € per project
- Project duration: 6 months to 1 year
- Application deadline: December 22nd, 2025, at 6 p.m. (Paris time)

- Scientific priority 4 – Health and Disease at the Extremes of Life
This call for proposals is open to PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, junior researchers, engineers (non–group leaders). Collaborative proposals between units or entities on campus are strongly encouraged
- Grant: up to €15,000 per project
- Project duration: 6 months to 1 year
- Application deadline: 15 December 2025 at 6 p.m. (Paris time)
- Announcement of results: February 2026
