Look back at the Institut Pasteur General Meeting on June 25, 2026
The members of the Institut Pasteur General Meeting board met on Thursday June 25.
The meeting, introduced by Yves Saint-Geours, Chairman of the Institut Pasteur Board of Governors, was held in person in the Duclaux lecture hall, but with the possibility of attending remotely via Teams.
During the meeting, the members unanimously approved the minutes of the General Meeting held on June 25, 2026.
They also approved the Annual Report of the Board of Governors, presented by Yves Saint-Geours, by an absolute majority of members present and represented.The presentation of the Annual Report was followed by an adress by Yasmine Belkaid, President, and then a presentation of the 2025 accounts by Alban Hautier, Senior Executive Vice-President.
It should be noted that this major institutional and statutory document incorporates the new visual identity of the organisation and is presented in a ‘magazine’ style to enhance its impact and interest for readers.
Following last year’s graphical evolution, the 2025 annual report is now evolving in terms of its content. It aims to highlight a selection of scientific topics from 2025, organised into themed sections, much like a magazine. The report sets out the institute’s scientific priorities for 2030, reaffirms its ambition to restore science and research as a source of hope, and features a special section on ‘the long-term nature of pathogens and infectious diseases’, highlighting scientific publications from 2025 on this subject.

Please note:
Once again this year, the number of printed copies of the annual report has been reduced to 1,700 (in two languages: French and English) as part of our ongoing efforts to control our environmental impact. The copies have also been produced using eco-labelled suppliers, 100% recycled, recyclable and biodegradable paper, vegetable-based inks, and in a format optimised to minimise paper waste (less paper, fewer machine set-ups). The printed version remains an effective communication tool for reporting on the Institut Pasteur’s activities to its donors and institutional partners. For this reason, once again, the annual report is no longer distributed in paper form within each entity. It is, however, available in PDF format on the external public website pasteur.fr (see above). At the end of the report, you will find further details on the ‘sustainable’ conditions under which it was produced.
During this session, the General Meeting also took the important step of electing eight new members of Section (e) of the Institut Pasteur General Meeting board (article 5(e) of the articles of association).Eight members had to be replaced, with seven reaching the end of their term and one resigning.
