This year's annual appraisals and career development reviews began on Monday November 24 and will run until January 27, 2026.

We would remind you that a validated promotion request form is required by January 7, 2026 for Compro promotion requests (for non-scientific staff) and requests to advance from senior technician to engineer status.

The appraisals are carried out using the online appraisal forms available via the Career Portal (Talentsoft) 
 

1 / Appraisals and career development reviews in practice

The campaign includes:

• annual appraisals
   
• promotion requests for non-scientific staff (Compro) and requests to advance from senior technician to engineer status
   
• career development reviews, this year including detailed career development reviews for employees with more than six years of service who have not had a career review over the past six years

Staff due for a detailed career development review will have received a personal message from the Human Resources Department summarizing their situation. Managers should enter this information into the dedicated section in the appraisal form.

Appraisals and career development reviews apply to all staff at the Institut Pasteur, except for those on fixed-term contracts of less than six months, PhD students and contract workers.
Since 2022, postdoctoral fellows have also received an appraisal.

2/ Support and guidance: all the resources you need for a successful appraisal campaign!

The HR teams encourage you to allow around 90 minutes for each appraisal session so that you have plenty of time for a meaningful discussion. Sessions should be held in person if possible.

To guide you through the campaign, several resources are available in French and English on the dedicated intranet page :

• the presentations and guides from the information meetings held on November 25 for the campaign launch (for staff and managers)
   
• instructions and video tutorials on how to complete the appraisal forms
   
• videos of the "Training of the month" sessions run on campus in 2025 on active listening  - and in 2024 on the importance of feedback
