Art and science, a dialog ingrained in the Institut Pasteur's identity
Following on from this year's World Art Day, celebrated annually on April 15, the museum team is delighted to announce that staff will be able to see the artist Aristide Barraud creating his "Inventory" wall as a permanent installation on campus, from May 18 to 22.
During the Nuit Blanche 2025, the artist Aristide Barraud devised a fun, interactive treasure hunt for the Institut Pasteur campus. Guided by a map and by volunteers, PhD students and staff from the Institut Pasteur, participants had to find a series of collages hidden around campus, each one associated with a riddle linked to the Institut Pasteur's history and groundbreaking discoveries.
Out of all these ephemeral works, designed to naturally disappear over time, one in particular left a lasting impression – the "Pasteur Inventory." In collaboration with the artist and with the permission of the senior management team, it has been decided that the artwork should become a lasting installation.
From May 18, to 25, Aristide Barraud and his team will be on campus to reproduce the work in a permanent form.
During the week, an opportunity to meet the artist and his team will be organized for staff. Further details will be provided nearer the time.
