Cutaneous leishmaniasis: using the Atlantic climate to forecast outbreaks
By comparing nearly 20 years of epidemiological and climate data in Morocco and Tunisia, scientists have established a link between major North Atlantic climate phenomena and outbreaks of cutaneous leishmaniasis. Their model can now be used to predict certain outbreaks up to one year in advance.
